A Detroit native, attorney, and founder of Michigan's largest personal injury firm, Mike brings more than three decades of courtroom wins and firm-building experience to the 2026 lineup, joining co-hosts Jon Marko and Samantha Teal alongside some of the country's most respected trial lawyers.

From a Rented Desk to Michigan's Largest Injury Firm

Mike founded the Mike Morse Law Firm in 1995, driven by a passion for doing what's right and a will to win: values he learned from his father, a dedicated attorney whose legacy still inspires him every day. That start was anything but easy. On his dad's birthday, Mike was fired by his father's best friend, and within days he opened his own doors with no clients, no staff, and nothing but a rented desk, a phone, and a determination to build something meaningful.

Today, the firm stands as Michigan's largest personal injury firm, with 250+ legal experts, 100,000+ clients helped, and more than $2 billion recovered for accident victims. Through every milestone, including rebuilding after a 2007 office fire and scaling the practice into a high-performing legal business, Mike has never lost sight of the people behind the paperwork.

Recognition and a National Platform

Mike's work has earned him wide recognition across the profession. He has been named one of America's 50 Most Influential Trial Lawyers by The National Law Journal and The Trial Lawyer Magazine, rated a Top Lawyer by DBusiness and Super Lawyers, and honored with multiple Golden Gavel Awards for his contributions to legal education and advocacy.

He has also appeared as a legal expert on The Today Show, in the Huffington Post, and across local news throughout Metro Detroit, helping bring clarity to injury victims and the public alike.

Helping Other Firms Grow: Fireproof

Beyond his own practice, Mike co-authored Fireproof, a best-selling book that shares the framework he used to build and scale his firm. The response from lawyers nationwide led to the launch of Fireproof as a coaching and mastermind company, now helping hundreds of law firms grow stronger from the inside out. Detroit Roots, Community First

Born and raised in Detroit, Mike is a proud dad to three daughters and stays deeply involved in the community that shaped him. His firm's Project Backpack initiative has distributed more than 300,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to local kids, and its annual Meet Your Best Friend event, run with Michigan Humane, has helped over 1,000 animals find loving homes.

As Mike puts it, Detroit will always be home, and I'll always fight for the people who call it home too.
